@Simona Cecil: I was recently notified by YTB that my credit card transaction with declined by my card company. I quit YTB over 2 years ago. So, I am assuming that they are going back and trying to charge old accounts in an attenpt to raise money.

Bruce - anything and MLM will mix , if managed correctly by the right people who don't abandon their original ideals & goals & back down and grow it the right way - for 30 years the industry has not taught Marketing 101 - they mostly paid phony top producers/leaders to make them look like super stars so dummies would follow -

This post is not PRO or CON YTB.

What is it with this site, with all the people (or just one many times over), that post on here that they want to cancel their YTB monthly hosting fee?

If it is just a few, repeating the same posts, under a new ID, what is the point?

If it really is somebody in YTB, why post here? You did not enroll here, how to expect to cancel here? If you bought a set of tires at your favorite tire store and they did not perform to their claims, or your expectations, would you write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, really expecting an adjustment?

Get a clue. Contact YTB. If you really are in YTB, you have all the tools, access and knowledge to at least do that. Ok, I'll play along with your stupidity; after 3 years of trying that, YTB is still taking your money. No one buys that, but as I said, I will play along anyway. Than contact your bank, or credit card company and UN-authorized - STOP the automatic payment.

If you are that stupid, no wonder your business did not work. Guess what, your next endevor will not work either. You are not cut out to be a business owner or a travel agent anywhere. The best you can hope for is a job with a good boss that likes to mentor and has a lot of patience.

Oh, and whatever you do, do not sign up for any of those buy 6 CD's for $1. offers, or "Anything of the Month Club". If you already did and you want to stop those, posting here will not stop those either.

They won't stop Simona. YTB is SO hurting for cash that they are using loan sharks (14% interest) to keep them going. YTB borrowed 650,000 dollars @ 14% interest and 45,000 down due 15SEP10. YTB is desperate for cash and your 49.95 a month is much needed by Coach and Snotty. Send more if you can okay?

My YTB ID# is 214885 and tried to cancel my membership since Nov. 2008 but no action was taken. I had been being charged the $ 49.95 up to the present in my Chase Credit Card and I am not happy about this with YTB, Please do something about this to stop the charge in my credit card and I hope YTB will refund me or reimburse these charges since Nov. of 2008. I called this # (618-655-9477) in Illinois and the person in that office to make the cancellation in Nov. 2008 but no steps had been taken. Please cancel immediately and stop the charges in my credit card. Thank you!

Sam, Coach DID hire good marketing firms. Then he stiffed them on their bill. They, too, are taking him to court to try and get paid. Agree that YTB has terrible management who could care less about travel and focus on recruiting to pay the way. As for Rick Ricketts...Coach put him at the top day one. It's a scammy company and always has been

@Bruce: I have been in YTB for several years and yes it is a great investment if you put in effort . NWM/MLM/Direct Sales is NOT for everyone, but it IS the ONLY option for so many who truly want to write their own ticket in life .

One has to put some type of Leverage in their life to have success and one must OWN their own Home Based Business to get some leverage on the Tax Code.

It is unfortunate that most EVERY NWM/MLM co for the last 50 years has taught failed marketing policy . An MLM or NWM business for the individual is not different than a barber shop or real estate office/busness or drug store - ONE has to utilize Marketing 101 tried and true tested principals to effectively & efficiently market their business - to the RIGHT people. Our "friends & family" could care less about your's or my travel business, vitamin business , telecom business, meat business or whatever and they could care less about working, more, or making money or enjoying the tax benefits of a real home based business etc etc .

Your phone or my phone has to ring ; we have to be talking to people who want what we have to offer and want to do business with US and REALLY want to be successful through hard & smart work . Will you find a few along the way who do- sure . Will there by a "runner" , every now and then who just picks u the ball and goes with it, regardless of what you do or say, sure - if you keep talking, looking, listening and marketing . Will there be a Rick Ricketts, probably NOT, cause you are not gonna get stacked like they all did - from Ron to Juliet to Rick to Bill to PJ to Cameron to Floyd to all the rest .

I put a total of 100 folks , some pretty dam sharp professionals and business owners , one group who could have blown everyone out n the company with their delivery mechanism and business - and no one stacked anyone under me . When I found out last year that my sponsor rec'd a $ 10,000 check before he even joined YTB and already 330 folks under him the day he joined (and then needed only 170 to be Director) I couldn't believe it , actually I could, not much surprises me these days but it popped my bubble as hard as I worked .

It is even more unfortunate when a company like YTB "screws the pooch" and messes up the whole thing . They had the travel industry by the tail and could have shot the moon had they consulted with and hired the right professional marketing firm(s) to HELP do things the right way - instead of cutting corners and trying different things .

GOOD Mgt. could have prevented the roller coaster downhill ride and subsequent stock price decline to pennies - One must ask themselves, WHY did Expedia rebound, even in a terrible economy & travel , from @ $ 3 to now well over $ 25 what an awesome chart - it's this kind of poor mgt that causes many serious professionals- who might otherwise embrace and work hard , to scoff at MLM legitimacy & then say expos facto, "see I told you so" , never again, just like Coach told us at the convention two years ago - "maybe you tried one of them thangs before or many times before, just one more time !" Ha
