Well no, not really good hands. And there are many other travel hosts that offer much more. But maybe you like the shopping? Please remember 80% of YTBs income comes from recruiting. Less than 15% from travel sales. YTB is a website renting company, not a travel company. These figures are verified by their SEC filings. There is also this:
I have been with YTB for 2.5 years and have done well. I love YTB and feel it is good choice for people who see that it takes work. Convention was great! This year I took ALL TRAVEL classes! It was HOT!! Go ahead and join YTB…it will be THE BEST Choice you ever make!
49% of TSOs earned no income in 2008. 75% earned no income from 4/2009-7/2009. But the typical cost to be a TSO was between 799.00 and 1718.00 per year. 61% of TSOs cancelled their sites in 2008. Jeez…only 61% found no value in losing money.
One TSO (out of 84,135) earned 25,400.00 in 2008. That must be Travel Cop.
Only 6% of TSOs found it worthwhile to take any training. Again, thanks to Travel Cop for being part of the 6%.
Study that well and then hand over your money. YTB needs it more than you do.
So it looks like The people who work at it will do well. I did watch your training coarse and found out you still have to take training that costs almost $500 + other costs. I do not plan to jump into any business but what I have seen of YTB the videos,people on the videos the company building and over 300 support people and the no pressure contacts by email,calls and webinars. The people with YTB are great! I will keep researching YTB and others to find the right match for me.

Ahem….who said they have 300 support people? HQ has been laying off since they have to pay California 1 million dollars…and more to come in Illinois has it's way. Not to mention the liens and lawsuits brought by former friends, directors and the like.
But, you must be a good recruiter as you sure aren't going to get anything selling travel in this market.
Every single new TSO says that! Ha Ha Ha! The people who make the big bucks in YTB are recruiters. They don't get a reward for selling travel. Recruiting is where the money is. Ask anyone in YTB.

I believe Preston and Jane have moved in with his Mom. Since the changes to the Director payments they were in really bad shape financially and this was a desperate measure to save as much as they could. They are also looking into Visalus (who are offering big bucks for a switcheroo) as YTB is so totally washed up.

Does anyone know what the status is of the California lawsuit filed by Attorney General against YTB? I haven't seen any update on a search since it was filed in 2008.

@Brian: Brian, YTB settled that case, however; the Illionis Attorney General has just re-open her case against YTB and also the Department of Justice (DOJ) has opened a fraud case I am told. Your stock is worthless and you can aleast claim a loss on your taxes and recoup some back. YTB will most likely be shut down by years end.
Coach and the Mrs are being sued by the IRS/Feds for 'forgetting' to pay 1/2 million dollars in income taxes for 2007 and 2008. He is also being sued by the state of Illinois for 'forgetting' to pay property taxes as well. What a guy! You YTBites must be so proud! If it ain't right don't do it and I guess it's ain't right to pay taxes. So hear the word – Coach says 'Don't pay income tax…it a'int right!!!! Pay Coach instead – now that's RIGHT!
