YTB Feedback and YTB Criticism

 I am writing to this BLOG because there does not appear to be a convenient way on the YTB website of contacting YTB corporate directly.

That is my first criticism of the YTB site.  Hopefully, someone out there will read my comments and help correct what I consider to be serious shortcomings for a travel website. Anyway, about my first impressions of the YTB website:

The YTB site itself needs some major rework. Who the hell is in charge of the website design? The site is not really what I would call for lack of a better term "user friendly". As a potential customer, I was initially turned off by a few aspects of the YTB travel web site site. I believe that the web site could use improvement in the following areas:

 Ease of navigation between categories. As a customer attempting to book travel, I found navigating the site to be frustrating, difficult, "disjointed", awkward and needlessly time consuming. Is this so called "travel website" for real? Or is it just poorly packaged? What is the PURPOSE of this YTB website anyway?

 I am talking business here, people. YTB, you can do better than this. And if you don't, well, I am willing to bet it is by INTENTION and therefore won't last long. These things need to be constanly improved so that customers keep coming back. Otherwise, YTB ends up an "also ran"

 As a customer, I would appreciate more support than "contact your YTB travel agent". Don't make me as customer, go to a BLOG and express these ideas and suggestions. As a travel customer intending to spend some of my hard earned dollars at YTB, I would like to be able to contact YTB directly when I have an issue, and to know that my concerns are taken seriously because my concerns are addressed promptly, with a minimum of effort on my part. As a travel customer, I want my website experience to be as pleasurable as possible. I want to feel that as a customer, YTB will do everything to accomodate my travel needs. I am not "feeling" that.>

Some other things missing on the YTB website are things like travel customers being able to share their vacation/cruise/trip with other YTB customers by way of perhaps being able to upload photos of their trip onto the site. The YTB website needs its own forum/blog so that customers can share their experiences both positive and negative.

 Unless there is something to hide, hmmm? That about covers it for now. I await action and will be looking for improvements soon.
