What are Affirmations?
The underlying meaning of affirmations is positive statements coined for the sole purpose of igniting the subconscious mind with spiritual and positive thoughts. Such thoughts kindle working of your mind on a sublime level and you can convert your affirmations, aspirations, and thoughts in to reality. Such positive statements can influence working of your mind to a considerable extent.
You can associate affirmations with similar functions like positive self-talk, autosuggestion, pep talk, self-suggestion, positive thinking, mental programming, self-hypnosis, and Psycho cybernetics. Regular repetitions of your positive thoughts can make you perform the same functions even in your subconscious state. Your outer self is only a reflection of your inner qualities and feelings.
The most essential element for affirmations to take positive effect is to have total faith in your plans. Your faith then translates into beliefs. You inadvertently delve deep in to the thoughts of your subconscious mind. These then take the shape of definite plans and you are on your path to success.
Therefore, repetition of your affirmations holds the key to fulfillment of your goals. You have to repeat these goals every day and if possible many times in a day too. Such regular repetitions have a greater impact. You need not be always vocal about your thoughts. Your innermost desires and wishes need not become public. You can repeat them to yourself within your mind and heart.
The best way to express your affirmation is to repeat them in first person and in the present tense format. These reflect your own goals and aspirations. You can motivate yourself further by adding few empowering quotes, notes, or even inspiring jots. Another way of causing a deep influence on your subconscious mind is to listen to these quotes every day religiously.
Slowly, with time, affirmations become a part of your life. Without your knowledge, you are using them to boost your confidence and make you go further closer to attaining your goals. If at any time you find the value of any of your assertions becoming subtle or losing steam, you can change them to suit the situations. Adherence to such positive suggestions is the focal point
